I said, “What is your name?”
He said, “Jerome.”
I said, “I will be praying for you, Jerome.”
He said, “Thank you very much.”
I said, “Where are you traveling to?”
He said, “Georgia.”
I said, “I hope you get to where you are going to.”
He said, “Thank you. What is your name?”
I said, “Sarah.”
He said, “Thank you, Sarah.”

So I am the queen of free time right now. What do I do with all of my free time, you may ask. Well, a whole lotta nothing. I should be doing a lot of stuff, like: photography, drawing, graphic design, making websites, searching for a place to put up my artwork, reading, learning a new language. But I just cannot seem to motivate myself. So the other day, I decided to go to one of the local animal shelters and volunteer. I asked to work with some of the dogs, but they do not allow volunteers to work with dogs until they take a dog walking class, which is being offered next weekend. But until then, I can pet and help socialize as many cats as I would like!

Cons of working in the same office as Jake:
Seeing him a lot but not being able to give him much attention
Feeling weird and awkward giving PDA
Having to keep that “professionalism” between you

Pros of working in the same office as Jake:
Being able to leave little random “I love you” notes to each other

That makes it all worth it :)

I like the make-out ones:

And this one, just because. You may not get it, but it is ok.

This article describes an insect that is so white that it has had scientists baffled, until now. Apparently “the scales are made of a tangle of seemingly randomly oriented filaments. …A random microscopic structure is key to producing a white color, which results when all wavelengths of light scatter equally from a surface. To confirm the randomness of the filaments, the researchers took a cross-section image of the filament network and performed a mathematical technique called a Fourier transform, which reveals any repetition in a shape.”

This article just struck me because of a group on Facebook called “CHICKS DIG FOURIER TRANSFORMS!!!” I have never quite understood what fourier transforms were or did until now.

On another note, have you ever wondered how dreams affect you after you wake up? This morning I woke up and had a strange urge to put in earrings. I normally don’t even think about wearing earrings unless I need to dress up a little, which I did not do today. Then, driving to work, I remembered the dream that I had last night, and in this dream, I had two lip piercings, both in my lower lip. The dream was nothing special. The only thing that stands out is that my mom was fine with me having the piercings except when we went to church, then she wanted me to take them out because she was scared of what people would think. After remembering the dream, I have begun to wonder what it would be like to have a lip piercing. Not that I really want one, but it is interesting just how dreams affect our mentality when we are awake.

A woman was given this huge mess of “something.” She hopes that it is whale vomit, but unfortunately, there just aren’t that many whale vomit experts around anymore.

Marriage is not the result of love, it is the opportunity to love. People marry so that they  may find out what love is. It is not destiny that makes a person the one true love, it is life. It is the hardships that have been faced together. It is bending over sickbeds and struggling over budgets; it is a thousand goodnight kisses and good morning smiles; it is vacations at the seashore and conversations in the dark; it is growing reverence for each other which comes out of esteem and love.

“Man, I thought you two was makin’ love. I thought I had five minutes at least!”
~this guy blocked me into my parking space just as me and Jake were saying goodbye. this is what he said when he came back out and saw me trying to -carefully- meneuver around his car.

I am 9 days shy of being 21.
I am about to enter into my fourth and final year of college.
I just drank my first cup of coffee.
